Summer 2014 Workshop with David Colman

DavidColmanHeaderWe’re excited to announce that we’ll be offering David Colman’s popular animal drawing workshop for a third year! This 2-day class will focus on structure and anatomy, with plenty of sketching from life at museum and zoo locations in the Los Angeles area.

David will start each day with a lecture to hone in on key points, then the class will spend the rest of the session engaged in pointed study of skeletons on the first day, and live animals on the second. Throughout each class, David will offer one-to-one instruction and demos to help each student strengthen their skills. Class size is limited to 15 students to ensure plenty of personalized attention.

One of David’s great strengths as a teacher is the ability to adapt information to suit each student’s skill level.  Whether you’re new to animal drawing or a seasoned professional looking to sharpen your skills, this workshop is designed to be flexible enough to encompass all skill levels.

This 2-day workshop runs Saturday, August 9, and Sunday, August 10, from 10am to 2pm each day, and tuition is $200.
