Motivarti 2016 Annoucement

After much contemplation, we are announcing that Motivarti, as an organization, will be concluding in December 2016.

Motivarti will run our mentorship program two more times, once in Spring 2016 and once in Fall 2016. The dates for our final two mentorship programs are as follows:

Application Dates: January 18, 2016 – February 7, 2016
Top 10 Finalists Notification: Late February 2016
Final Mentees Notified: Early March 2016
Spring Mentorship Program: March 20, 2016 – May 28, 2016

Application Dates: June 27, 2016 – July 17, 2016
Top 10 Finalists Notification: Mid August 2016
Final Mentees Notified: Late August 2016
Spring Mentorship Program: September 4, 2016 – November 12, 2016

Motivarti began as a small partnership with a simple objective–to help bridge the gap between artists and their goals. We wanted to create an organization that could provide opportunities and preparation through classes, workshops, and our mentorship program for those willing to pursue their dreams. We believe, as strongly now as we did then, in helping others make their own luck happen.

Today, our organization is composed of a small team of three dedicated women–Laura West, Jessie Greenberg, and myself (Jackie Huang)–who run Motivarti in addition to sustaining full-time careers. None of what I do could be done without the support of these two extraordinary ladies.

All of us have contributed our time and energy to Motivarti because we believe in the purpose of helping others help themselves. However, as each of us have continued to grow in our own lives and careers, we’ve come to the difficult conclusion that we will not have the ability to dedicate the appropriate amount of time needed to run our organization at the standard we believe it deserves beyond 2016.

For the last four and a half years, it has been our pleasure to run Motivarti. We have been proud to serve the artistic community and we look forward to serving it for one more year.

We will have a table during this year’s CTN’s Animation Expo, so please feel free to stop by with any questions.

  2. So sad, it’s such a great idea and opportunity, but I understand that life sometimes has other plans for us. I’ll just have to apply to both and hope and pray really hard that I get to participate in this great program before it ends. 🙂

  4. Hi ladies,

Congratulations on a creating a wonderful organization that has helped so many artists’ careers and personal growth over the last few years.

Have you thought about selling the organization or passing it off to another group of people willing to continue Motivarti’s mission? It’s such a great service to the community, it’s a shame to watch it dissolve.

    All the best,

    • Hi Alishea! We’ve had people ask that same question and even some people say they were interested in taking it over but no on has yet to follow through. So it still seems we’re in our final months.
