About Ian Abando
Ian Abando is a Los Angeles based illustrator who graduated from the Art Center College of Design in the spring of 2011. His company credits include Jim Henson, Nickelodeon, Laika, Disney TV, Illumination, Sony, and, currently, Dreamworks where he is a storyboard artist.
Ian has formal and professional training in feature storyboard, character, prop, and set design for television, and visual development.
Ideal Mentee: My ideal mentee is passionate about story and/or film. Whether they are new to the material, or have set goals they want to accomplish my mentee must be open to collaboration as well as constructive criticism.
10-Week Plan: The goals of the mentee come first. I’m open to workshop ideas after meeting in person.

Preferred Meeting Times: For local students, I can make myself available at lunch at Dreamworks in Glendale, CA. Anyone out of town, Skype will be the preferred communication after 8PM during the week or designate some free time over the weekend; that goes for both local or Skype call students.
